We make collision IRRESISTIBLE.
Spread across 140 acres in Cornwall, Innovation Nursery is a members-only hideaway where innovation teams from businesses around the world spend their time colliding with big ideas and the people making them a reality.
Think of it as an innovation retreat, meticulously designed to maximise the immersion into what’s next. We have Kegin, our brewery and workspace. Kovva, our sustainable event space, for a full company to convene and for our collisions to occur. An experimental kitchen to showcase the best of the produce on offer, whether that’s grown in our local soil, in the sea or in our aeroponics chamber. All this powered by the sun and standing in the shadow of the largest additive-printing WASP crane in the UK, enabling us to print a space, a piece of furniture or an experience from the earth and materials around us.
Innovation Nursery is for CEOs, founders, misfits, makers, thinkers and scientists who know the next decade is won by making things, not PowerPoint presentations, and who turn up to do it.
Away from our site, our team scans the horizon for ideas and opportunities worth our members’ attention. We curate deep dives into topics that impact the way we live and share them through perspective-altering speakers, podcasts, critical thought pieces, field notes, and long-form deep dives.
Our focus Areas
-
How we grow it, ferment it, source it, consume it. Aeroponics, the experimental kitchen, the brewery, the Head of Food Innovation. Food security is a now problem.
-
Biomaterials, waste-derived substrates, biopolymers, regenerative textiles. Cornwall's lithium and tin tailings, marine biomass, agricultural by-product. The stuff the future is made of.
-
Low-impact structures, additive manufacturing, experimental materials, regenerative place-making. The 3D printing WASP crane is the centrepiece.
What we’re working on
-

Coldframe brewery
Our onsite brewery. Barley in coastal fields. Hops growing in our glasshouses. A taproom coming soon to Kegin.
From grain to glass, all on our site.
-

Forest City one
A project proposing a new innovative city near Cambridge. They’re driven people asking the right questions.
We sponsored the feasibility report and launch.
-

Natural Generation
Natural Generation were the minds behind our solar array which powers the entire site. We have a bespoke design, optimised for our site.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
We make collision irresistible.
Collision is the work. Irresistible is the standard. We engineer the meetings that change what people make next, and we make them impossible to turn down.
-
Cornwall is not a compromise. It’s the most strategically important decision we made.
The raw material streams that biomaterial innovators need, the abundance of marine biology, the agricultural heritage, the brewing and fermentation culture - all unique benefits of Cornwall.
-
Brands, CEOs, founders, misfits, makers and scientists who know the next decade is won by getting dirt under their nails, not by reports and panel sessions.
People who’d rather build the thing than commission a deck about it. The ones who turn up to do the work.
-
We’re already in the local community: hosting events on-site and in local spaces, sponsoring local primary school projects, and engaging with initiatives across St. Austell and wider Cornwall. Most recently we’ve committed to supporting the St Austell Community Land Trust by match funding the next £4000 contributed.
